The Passage of the Lord- Poem by Amita 1968
An intense vision generating light,
A gaze bearing all the weight of the universe,
Giant steps hammering the world
Digging on their way abysses and bottomless wells,
Gigantic strides of the Great Owner,
Royal tour of the Lord through His lands,
Vigilant inspection searching and discovering
The flaws and the remedies
A look as deep as an eternal abyss,
Bearer of the secret containing all things,
Immense Sphinx, enormous tower, mighty rock,
Two bronze arms, so gentle, surrounding the world,
Unshakable Compassion.
The fold of a great cloak encompassing the universe
gigantic steps diminishing into the infinity of time,
A wind of majesty raised by his trace
Like a dazzling and white dusting of gold
The sound of his steps sinking into eternal space….
An abyss of notes, a recognized incense,
A mysterious impulse, an immense Hope
